you need to build a support frame underneath the seat and run the rope through it. that plastic will not hold anyone over 60 pounds (probably)

I found 2 white real heavy duty chairs kind of like these . I'm going to clean them up and paint them a dark green color and give them to my son for his patio at his brand new house. I have never seen any as heavy duty as these.😁

Why don't you just use a child's car seat. It doesn't have legs, it already has slits for the rope and it is already padded, and you can strap your child in so they can swing but not fall out.
