The only time I look in there is if something is broke. If a guest wants to look in there,have at it. It's bad enough I have to clean the whole house before guest's come over. You think I'm going to clean that ? NOT !! Also take all your meds out of the medicine cabinet,because people do peak and take if you've got what they need. You're not supposed to keep your meds in there anyway.

Well, as a contractor, not doing that but putting it on the stem or shaft will prevent it from sticking and not filling up and will add life to that particular model, which those do stick and stop lifting to initiate the mechanism to fill the tank and bowl, maybe this person did this to trigger commmet sand interaction within this video for like Ana dislike cause no matter what, any interaction with this video helps them and their channel

Vaseline is a temporary fix for the flapper to open and close during flushes. The word is Temporary. Water keeps running the flapper isnt closing and sealing properly. periodically you should check inside the tank for rust and calcium build up on the chain. overflow level. if you use those drop in tablets or bottles you hang inside. suppose to give 1,000 flushes of blue disinfectant..Dont. Nothing wrong except eventually a layer of bluish black tar like substance coats the bottom of the tank. its difficult to get out not to add messy and stinks of stagnant sewer. You can use them just check the tank and give it a good ceaning. You can piece part replace but my husband just bought all new inners cleaned all the rust and calcium out and saves embarrassment when company comes and your toilet breaks. older homes and apartments may have original plumbing which in time can become an ugly embarrassing mess. its always good to check the toilet tanks.

Wrong valve smh. Its the flush valve and flapper so they dont get stuck while flushing. And should only be done once in a while to keep it lubricated smh.
I read the comments. obviously the person doing this didnt understand either as to where and why. Vaseline in my toilet tank? hope she didnt just put Vaseline on just that cap. There's no real reason.
