Y’all understand physics right the sheer weight of those barriers (4800lbs) keep them from sliding. The tie straps are rated for 5400lbs. Federal transport regulation states that a tie strap has to be able to hold half the load so if it’s 4800 pounds it has to hold 2400 pounds meaning a strap that’s rated for 5400 pounds. Can definitely hold those concrete barriers. Federal regulation also states that the load cannot shift. That’s the reason why they stack them three wide and you might not be able to see it, but they also chalk/wedge underneath those barriers to prevent them from moving. Educate yourselves it’s amazing what you can learn when u read watch instead of just listening to what people say

the dumbass is the ones who see a problem. those cement dividers are so damn heavy the straps are just a formality. it will take a lot to get one to move without another machine

Im not even a truck driver and I know the straps are supposed to go through the reflectors and not over. There is no protection to keep the straps from being cut and Why not tarp it?

By law, they are required to secure the load properly. It makes sense to do that, regardless of its weight.

It is ... interpretation. When the DOT pulls the driver over for a random inspection, how will the DOT interpret this? It's up to the driver to be spot on.

I don't know any time I put those things on a flat bed.It was always Is tied down with chains. Not straps cause those straps can hold that kind of weight.😳

The front 2 straps aren't flapping in the wind like the back 2 are. And since flatbed drivers are supposed to at least check the load if not be the one who straps it all down (idr, been a long time, and no I wasn't one but I knew some abt it) someone got it wrong, or if it doesn't matter then why would whoever did the strapping twist the 2 in front but not the others? Also just to err on the safe side, more straps wouldn't hurt, if only to keep other non-CDL drivers from calling in about them.

Those weak ass straps won’t stop those pillers from coming off that bed if he has to make a sharp turn, and the two in back isn’t even tightened up!!!

avator

Front the load and back of load should be double strap with a twist to get rid of the flapping..... Also the straps need edge protectors to prevent from tearing.... Any flatbed drivers that don't see this, yep you might be the dumb one..... Safety first ppl.... Enough said.....

if those concrete dividers come off the bed of that truck then there's a big fuckin prob. the weight alone holds them down straps keep them from falling left or right 😁 truth truth

Don’t see what filmer thinks is a problem. However, a twist in the straps would keep them from fluttering.

He should have his straps underneath the rub rail. They could use a little more tightening

avator

That’s not the problem.it’s no straps saver to protect the concrete from cutting the straps
