That shit went down in Florida with a woman named Walker. She was involved in multiple hit-and-run incidents, and when officers finally located her vehicle, she was sittin' in there with a 16-inch filet knife. The cops tried to talk to her, but she wouldn't drop the knife, and a deputy even tried a taser seven times with no damn effect. She swung the knife at the deputy, then got out and charged at an officer, and that's when they shot her. She got hit twice but was treated and released from the hospital later.
That sucks. You hate to see anyone shot like that but idk what the cop could do on that one. She came out of that car surprisingly quick and that knife was huge. Croc dundy style

I would expect you to do that but now I would also expect you to go through the same scrutiny that the average citizen would have they been in your position and had to use deadly force because we all know that Joe citizen that shot someone coming at them with a knife would be under much more scrutiny and probably go to jail for defending themselves and that's not right
my question is, what happens if the cop doesn't shoot in the person with the knife makes it to the cop? if the cop gets stabbed are they allowed to shoot? and if it wasn't a cop and you had a gun and somebody came at you with a knife how long do you have to wait before you shoot?

If the suspect has a deadly weapon you can bet that their chances of just being tased are going to be near zero. when it's the suspect's life or the officer's life... the officers are going to try their best to come out on top. And rightfully so. Even if they did tase her there's a good chance she would have stabbed herself with her own knife. Playing chicken with police officers is NOT a smart move. Ever. Say you do manage to defeat one or a couple of them, much like a colony of ants there's a million more that are going to come get you before it's over with.
