An old frame coping saw is faster, more accurate, and safer.😆

That's a good trick. Can you cope ? I used to say. It went over most Carpenters head. A good measure of talent so long as it's 'Right' 🤔

Hah! I did that once when my coping saw blade broke and I didn't have any extras. Got me through the day.😆

nice! used to do this with a coping saw a pencil and sand paper! oh almost forgot the initial cut with the miter saw using a back saw and wooden miter box

I Fein tool is a better option. You can mitre and cope a piece of base cap while kneeling and not even need to go back and forth to a workbench or mitre saw to cut. Helps when trimming out closets and other short sections.

when you don't have a coping saw you have to make do with what you have. you may have a job doing something else and then they want to pay extra for you to do some trim for extra cash and you didn't bring your coping saw. I've done that myself many times. it works great if you have a steady hand. some "trim carpenters" have to have the newest and best or they can't do it. in my opinion that's not a true carpenter

only if you're steady and have some common sense guess that rules out like 95% of today's generation.
