The man is Terence Trent Vos, a Utah man charged with aggravated murder for the Mayβ―1,β―2021 shooting death of his girlfriend, Shandon Scott. Her body was found shot multiple times and inside a crashed vehicle on Interstate 80 in Salt Lake County. Police responded to a report of a crash and found Scott with many gunshot wounds in the passenger seat. A witness said Vos was in the driverβs seat and tried to steal that witnessβs vehicle before police arrived; Vos fled but was arrested shortly after. At trial he claimed initially that two other shooters killed his girlfriend and that bullets were intended for him, not for her. After a sixβday trial, a jury convicted Vos of aggravated murder and multiple related felony counts including discharge of a firearm causing serious injury, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, and obstructing justice. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus additional consecutive sentences for the related charges.
