I’ve never had an accident either, but I’ve been running into a bunch of times been running into by one guy twice while I was part had my hood ripped off twice while I was parked, and actually had one guy shoot out in front of me from a construction zone, coming straight across all the cones from where he was sitting 5 foot off the lane which was a single lane and I knew if I hit my brakes, I was gonna T-bone him and kill him so I floored the Excelerator by doing so I did not T-bone him instead, he bounced off my fuel tank and tires, and I saved his life!

Maybe reffering to the Johnson bar, that is/was used to brake the trailer only. You would have to be careful using it. Never on ice, but any braking on ice is dicey. Jake brakes are engine retarders. You let off the accelerator, or going down a steep grade, this is what you'd hear. Also have to be careful, but not as volatile as the Johnson bar. Of course ice covered roads work better with chains on, or better yet, stay off altogether, or as soon as it's safe to do. The average, or everyday driver, just can't appreciate the conditions, expectastions, and logistics involved in moving goods and such coast to coast, on time and be compliant with fed. regulations while keeping the truck upright, and in one piece.
