drove for 15 years. the stupidity never fails to amaze me. I believe every person who gets a license should ride with a truck driver for at least a week. maybe, just maybe they would understand

Definately the car is at fault! I'm sick of the truck drivers always getting blamed when it's actually the idiot in the car is to blame

Completely Cars Fault, You can't stop 80,000 lbs in 20 Feet, even going slow! Add wet road and it just gets worse! TICKET THE 4 WHEELER!

I have a friend who owned and was a driver for a fleet of dump trucks. she was approaching an intersection planning to make a left turn and so was in the left lane. A car pulled in front of her and slammed on the brakes to turn into the gas station just before the intersection. this caused a wreck. the police officer who responded was going to give my friend a ticket until seeing the dash cam footage. Instead the driver of the car was ticketed. My friends truck had the bumper mounted in such a way that she was able to just give it a yank and have it pop back into its normal configuration. The driver of the car still expected my friend to pay for the damage to the car even though the driver of the car was the one at fault. The car's driver got laughed at for that request.

Way to pull in front of a tractor trailer then put on brakes. That song is perfect.

as close to the red light as they were , I consider the trucker to partially at fault

Wait until the drivers insurance has to pay for the damage on that truck. It costs more to repair

By law, if you hit someone from behind, you are at fault. You are expected to have control, and be able to stop at all times (as silly as that is)

This was the idiot in the car that caused this. Probably for an insurance scam!

Semi’s cannot stop on a dime. If they’re loaded, they might be 80,000 pounds. A car doesn’t weigh anything near that so it can stop quicker. People need to learn how to drive around semi’s.

or at bare minimum watch a video before their test showing how long it takes a truck to stop and how trucks turn and photos of what happens when you ignor these facts

The truck drivers can’t stop on the dime especially on wet roads. The driver in the car should not have pulled over in the truck way. So it’s the person fault in the car. The truck drivers is helping people get their stuff in the store. So people can get their stuff out of the stores.
