This is a lie. Not even what the author wrote. “It misses out key parts of the passage, stripping it of context and changing its meaning. The author says a windmill can generate as much energy as was used to make it in less than three years, as long as it is in a good position. “

yeah whole countries are managing to power their power grid system through wind generation.😂😂😂😂😂 either the oil bearings have convinced you against your own best interest or you're going to be the last coach in the world to technologically advance

Corruption at the very top! Politicians get kickbacks/returns on their investments/create phony mandates and phony causes to suck taxpayers dry while they laugh all the way to the bank.

No, it’s not true that the energy needed to make a windmill is nowhere near the amount it will produce. Modern wind turbines typically produce far more energy over their lifetime than is required to manufacture, transport, install, and decommission them. Studies show that the energy payback time for a wind turbine—the time it takes to generate the amount of energy used in its lifecycle—is generally 6 to 12 months. For example, a 2014 study by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) found that onshore wind turbines have an energy payback period of about 5.2 to 10.2 months, depending on the turbine size and location. Offshore turbines may take slightly longer due to higher installation energy costs but still achieve payback within a year or two. Over their typical 20- to 30-year lifespan, wind turbines can produce 20 to 50 times the energy required to build them. For instance, a 2 MW turbine operating at a capacity factor of 30–40% (common for onshore wind) generates millions of kilowatt-hours annually, vastly exceeding the energy used in its production, which is typically in the range of 1–2 million kWh for a large turbine. Claims otherwise often stem from outdated data, miscalculations, or incomplete lifecycle analyses that ignore the long-term energy output. However, advancements in turbine efficiency, materials, and recycling have further improved the energy balance. Wind energy remains one of the most efficient renewable sources in terms of energy return on investm

Wind turbines do initially create high carbon emissions to produce and install, HOWEVER they offset this quickly by about 9 months then continue to produce clean energy for 20-30 years. Just a quick research gives you this information. 😎

Windmills do create more energy than it takes to create, ship, dismantle over their life span... which is only around 22 years or so, if they are put in a windy place of course there is a net benefit.

but to build a new factory to make the megawatts that a 100 windmills make is 10 times as much cost, and uses 100 times more matl. and have to have l eopke to maintain and monitor the equipment, windmills don't need as much.

That is a perfect example of the past administrations. Spend a dollar trying to make a dime!! if I didn't know better, I would think there were intentionally trying to bankrupt this nation pissing off money on every stupid thing they can think of... Oh But wait, they do know better ! what's next? Spend 6.2 million trying to figure out why ketchup pours slow out of a bottle?

How much carbon does a wind turbine reduce compared to a coal plant. And how much iron ore and coking coal was used to build them. Your argument is mute.

ummm no, not as described. steel is the second most recycled building material, only behind concrete. not all of that steel would have come from iron ore. steel can be made without coke and can infact be made with electricity produced by wind power. should the government be throwing taxpayer money in to private companies building windmill, no.are they a waste of money, no. should private companies be allowed to build them, sure.
