Dad always taught me to have someone on the other end to grab the board for you if it’s longer then the table itself

fun fact: saw stop (the company that makes these) will usually send you a new cartridge for free if your actually skin came in contact with the blade.

had one of them in carpentry class, the teacher ran a 2x4 threw it with a nail in it, stops immediately. He was cursing for like 45 minutes. it is not cheep at all to replace, it basically destroys the entire mechanism to spare your fingers. worth every penny though, a amputation surgery has to be $$$$$$ compared to the cost of this invention.

A kid in my 7th grade woodworking class sawed part of his thumb half way. I saw him touch it but he just looked at it a sec and continued working. After a few seconds it started bleeding though.

For most people that don’t see why he reached his hand, sometimes carpenters and construction workers have the habit of spreading fingers to grab the board but glad to see the machine worked

It looked like you finally worked up the goal to do it on purpose.Honestly, I slowed it down it.Looks like you reach your thumb over and touched the blade on purpose

its alot of money to own one of them, but man! when you actually end up needing to use it, it pays for itself 5x over.
