the "high speed rail" mentioned is a horrible waste of federal government money. normal rail service could currently exist that would be 35 minutes slower, but demand doesn't justify it. so why should the American government pay that much money for 35 minutes faster travel that doesn't have demand?

The bond for the HSR. Was originally Los Angeles to San Francisco in 4 hours. Now they say it will take 8. Once they admitted they could not complete it, the bond became null and void. Newsom wants to keep funneling money into something that should have never happened. Laundering money anyway he can.
