There's other people she could have asked. I used to ride the bus to my daughter's daycare and then I would walk to work. The first day all the seats were taken by high-school kids. They offered me a seat, I declined but asked if my one year old could sit. One of the girls asked if she could hold her. I said yes. All the girls made a fuss over her. The next morning when I got on the bus, the girls were waiting. A different girl said it was her turn and held my daughter. Everyday they took turns playing with and holding my daughter. She loved it.
