Im retired Law Enforcement of over 20 years, Ive done hundreds of DUI cases. Because she has COPD doesnt mean she doesnt have another ailments that's making her walk this way. Her walk is not consistent with intoxication, plus she is immediately answering all his questions coherently and decisively. She is just saying she will have a hard time blowing in his Alco Sensor.

A number one. You don't know the symptoms of a stroke. Victim and/COPD they walk as if they're intoxicated. Mathematics, 101 call character reading.😳

I don’t think she’s saying she has copd for walking like that. She’s saying she has COPD after he told her to blow harder into the breathalyzer

People, she was just saying she has COPD and that would be the reason why she’s unable to blow for very long. It has nothing to do with why she’s walking that way. My guess is she has some other helmet that was causing her to walk that way because that does not look like the walk of an intoxicated person.

COPD is a lung disease. It causes shortness of breath, wheezing, and coughing. So, trying to blow in that machine is difficult for her. She may not have the breath for prolonged blowing. She looks like she has a physical disability with her walking that is impeding her walking. 🤷🏾‍♀️

She could possibly have neurological problems like MS hence her imbalance when walking, copd is why she can’t take a deep breath and blow into that instrument. I know because I have both. COPD & MS is no joke!!!

She appears to have the limp from a bad hip or past hip b surgery. I'm a nurse x 50 years. I recognize her gait.

The first thing is she has a disability. Secondly, she cannot blow into the breathalyzer, because she has COPD. She has a couple of disabilities. God bless her🙏.

Like someone said she is not faking, she letting officer know she can't blow into breathalyzer because she has COPD. She's not incoherent, she can suffering my a light stroke from the way she's walking. And being stop by a white cop and she has pistol can send her blood pressure up. Everyone is not a liar!

My interpretation: She said she has a disability, her balance issues are a different than her COPD. She is willing to take the exam but says she is unable to keep blowing when she is quickly out of breath. I used to be concerned due to my balance issues that someone would see me coming out of the store, think I was drunk and call the police. So she could have MS, or knee surgery, or a host of other issues that would impact her balance.

okay, maybe she's not necessarily dui, but should she be driving if she has medical situations that prohibit her from driving carefully? I always believe everybody's innocent until proven guilty, but, since has to be in there somewhere

It's so sad that they harass these old people that have all these medical conditions. My husband has pd, I have Asthma, there's no way we can blow in that thing. We both have severe Rheumatoid arthritis and walk with canes and can't even hardly walk half the time and They see, that is, oh you're drunk or you're on drugs or something. No , the cops are getting way out of hand

You start breathing really hard when COPD or even 25% of your heart function you won’t be able to catch a breath afterwards this is wrong. They’re asking a person with handicap to do this. I understand the reason behind it but when they have COPD or you have only 25% heart function, you use your breathing you can’t breathe afterwards. You will end up almost done. This is a wrongful thing for handicap people.

I have extremely bad balance and could never pass any ambulatory test. Also, with atrial Fib when you get excited. stressed, anxious, you get short of breath and could never blow into that thing. Not everything is it appears.

People with Copd, if oxygen goes down to 85 or lower, you can walk, but some will think you are drunk. And you are considered a falling person. You can sit and be ok. And stand up, and it is hard to walk. Weather has a lot to do with a person s breathing that has copd. The cop is friendly and kind to help her walk. And not forcing her to breathe any harder than she can. And if she has copd I feel for her cause I know how she feels.

My husband was pulled over, and arrested for DUI. My twin 17yr old nephews were with him, and told the cop that he wasn't drunk,& he recently had a stroke. They falsely arrested him, & impounded our car. His case was dismissed, but I STILL had to pay $275 for the impound. 🤨😡🤬

well isnt it right for cop to eliminate intoxication first? He wasn't rough with her. We dont know if she possibly had a drink and smell was on her breathe. He didn't put her in cuffs. Cops are blamed when someone they pulled over and didn't find a cause to remove from vehicle gets into an accident later.. Hearing this lady seeing the trouble she was having I wouldn't want her on the road. Hopefully her appearing impaired is not a result of substance abuse and that her copd doesn't remove her from the world shortly. This isnt a rich poor thing or a black white thing. Although those things have become most apparent past 5 years. Cop isnt a pig. He may well have that need to order and push people around but this clip has no indication of that

I've had COPD all my life. She's Seriously Nervous & needs to go to the hospital. And let the Nurse Staff take blood Samples. Due to the fact that if she's that bad off with COPD, SHE DOES NOT NEED TO BE DRIVING AT ALL. REVOKE HER DRIVING LICENSE!!!🙏

she says she has a disability to explain her gait, which is why he asks if she needs help walking to the car and she says she normally does. she then explains that she can't blow due to her copd. copd is her ailment, not the disability she was referring to for him to understand.
