It’s crazy how a lot of women say a man is being controlling or manipulative when he sets boundaries — like not wanting his partner to dress half-naked, show her body off, or have male best friends. Basically, anything that sets a boundary in a relationship gets labeled as control if a woman doesn’t like it. But at the same time, women set boundaries for their man, and those are expected to be respected. A man can’t walk around with his chest out, can’t have female best friends, can’t stay out until four or five in the morning, and can’t do certain things — and he’s expected to respect that because he’s in a relationship. So why is it different when a man sets boundaries? Why is it called controlling instead of mutual respect? Make it make sense, because I’m honestly confused.
