Any teacher who acts like this should be fired. He should PAY to replace the ipad. He could have stopped beside her. Told her to pick up her belongings. Then tell her to leave the class, and don't ever come back in my classroom. At that point, give her a 0 or Fail. Instead he acted out like a heathen. As for the other student, she should have to pay the same amount to the girl for trying to make points with the teacher.

unless it is the school property, no. This crap is expensive. If he did not want the student using it, then he should have taken from the student and return at end of class. If a student still has a problem with that solution and still has issues with directions by not listening or being distracting, then they can leave the class until they are ready to follow instruction and learn. Learning is privalege in most of the world and American need to stop being so complacent in pretending everyone.

I’m on the teacher’s side. She should have known better. People can hate me and I don’t give a shit but children, college students, and workers do not need to be on their phones or computers period! It’s rude, you’re not learning shit, and it does all of the work for you. Government needs to start limiting device use. Go back to hand writing everythin, math the old fashioned way, and reading books. I found it much harder to test and do my homework on the computer when they were starting to make students use them in my junior year. I hated it.

Nah. If the student fails to follow directions or refuses to follow them, that doesn't justify a staff member destroying personal property. And, as you can see, because of his position, his unacceptable behavior was contagious. That could have caused the entire room to erupt into chaos. We all lead by example whether we think we do or not.

I’m not going to say that what this teacher did was the right way to handle the situation! He should have taken the IPad away until the end of class, and the other student should not have gotten involved and been disciplined for her behavior, my sister in-law is a teacher and she said that some students today don’t have any respect and can be inconsiderate and defiant, BUT the actions that the teacher took to make a point just tells the students that that’s the way to deal with things which I think just promotes them to be aggressive when they expect things to go a certain way, he should have to pay for the girls IPad, be reprimanded put on probation, but I think he should be fired, if he did this once he has probably done it before, he is supposed to be a role model for these kids I don’t think this is a lesson he should be teaching his students, and if this is a real video I feel bad for the girl, he could have corrected her in a different way this definitely unacceptable
