I do understand why she did what she did, but unfortunately, the whole family died because of her choice. This is such a hard case because of that. I deeply feel for her situation because I was raped at 14 and beaten so badly that I almost died. If the guys sister hadn't walked in and saw what he was doing, I wouldn't be here today. I was lucky to have been found and saved. She didn't have that option. This girl was stronger than me and fought for herself. This is so tragic that all those lives (including hers) were lost all because she felt there was no other way to escape her abuser. There probably wasn't any other way. This completely breaks my heart for all the children involved. The abuser is the only one who should have suffered for his crimes, and I hope that he is in hell right now suffering. I'm praying all the others are resting peacefully, and I'm praying that someday, she may also have the chance for peace.

I do think she deserved some prison time for taking an innocent life but she’s done her time after that long I had a friend who killed someone from cutting his drugs with fentanyl and he only did 6 years

The killing of these innocent people, while heartbreaking, was not intentional. She was crying for help, and it turned out devastating. But what about what was done to her??? No empathy?? Yes, her stepfather was a monster. No, she should not be released. There were other ways for her to ask for help which didn't include arson of an occupied building. She was given a life sentence and should be happy it wasn't a capital sentence. After this many years in prison, she is completely institutionalized and has no life skills to be able to live in the outside world.
