I used a 10 lb sledge driving 10 inch spikes into logs building a log home. When I started I couldn't hit the spike to save my life, by the time I finished I could hit it blindfolded.
I have done that one too many times did new construction concrete for almost 20 years we also did remodels plenty of break outs jackhammers .
Them look like all critical hits!

We had a shop sledge fabricated by one of my friends it was an iron bar with a sledge head about 60-70 lbs you set it ... in the air at an angle then let it drop helping on the way down all you had to do was guide it and anything that takes 15-20 sledge hits takes 1-2.2 booms and it's broken up. It's not a brag I don't think he meant to make it that heavy we called it Thor ended up being useful for bigger guys.
