back in the 90s I was in a hotel in Memphis. I was there on business. it was Friday night when everybody's out on the town. except me. I stayed home/ room to read. and then I heard it there is four people outside my door trying to get in as a matter of fact they had a key! I was out of that bed and over at the door grab the key out of their hands and slam the door shut and locked it again. they said they were given the key downstairs apparently they gave him the wrong room number too. so use both locks all the time!

Why is everyone so paranoid that their hotel room is going to get broken into? Seriously people how often does that happen and how many valuables do you take on your vacations? Leave them at home!

I have an extra travel lock just for doors at hotels. I use that especially if I'm traveling alone...along with something else.
And put something like a chair or suitcase in front. Noise alerts you and disorients them.

I’ve been in many hotel rooms and I know that that door does not open unless you have a room key. It doesn’t even open a little bit for that to happen. Just saying.
I worked at a motel 6 they make a special tool that also does this anyone can buy it we had one in the office for cops or emt's to get in rooms

Shit I’ve been in some hotels where the people that run the hotel is still able to unlock the deadbolt from the outside trust me it’s scary when they come in while you think you got that mf locked and they still come in the room
