Dem ol' folks wives tales had the best remedies! Me & my siblings were hardly ever sick as kids. Between: Three 6's, Father Johns, Cod Liver Oil, Vapor Rub, BC, Boric Acid, Hot Toddies, Castor Oil, Iodine/Mercurochrone, Calamine Lotion, & Epsom Salt.......no doctors, prescriptions, co-pays, coinsurance, or deductibles needed; and we turned out just fine!!! 😊

Salt is a good natural repellent and if you read the Bible there are more than a few verses speaking about salt and the usefulness of it how it should be used and the protection when used and what salt represents has nothing to do with witchcraft and those that claim to know the Bible should know better
