the heat index was probably high and heat injuries are common in the Army, which would be why she's in her t-shirt. Also, it was obvious this is weapons familiarization with training rounds. training rounds fail a lot. I'd approximate a 30% or higher fail rate on these rounds. she is doing nothing wrong. the comments saying otherwise are just plain wrong, for context, I served 12 years in the U.S. Army.

I don’t understand the video. I’m an Afghanistan combat vet. Well for one I don’t believe in females in combat roles. Which I don’t think they are. Everyone trains on every weapon. It’s training rounds. It launched. It went off. Your good. It has to do a certain number of rotations before a HEDP will even arm itself. . You could never fire it to close and get shrapnel from it. She should have got down I guess. But there was no danger from the practice round. They should be in the kitchen cooking or driving a truck though lol

For context, the range was not live. It was hot, meaning the range was occupied, however, it was not live. No DS or RSO present, no guidance or NCO over her. She is lucky if she didn't get a negligent discharge charge.

Those orange training rounds are notorious for cracking and breaking open as they leave the tube. This could happen to any soldier. And the Range Safety that sounds super panicked doesn’t know WTF He is doing.

Those are Cheeto rounds they’re used in place of using HEDP (explosive rounds) in training the orange smoke lets you observe where they hit they’re known for bursting right out of the barrel or inside. They’re also make it a bitch to clean the weapon system. She did everything right. I also don’t know why these fuckin weirdos are freaking out lmao
