This was my Minnie - she lost one eye at 7 and then the other at 11 and lived to 17. Did a lot of bumping but found her way! She was so special! 💕🐾💕🐾💕

My pup Jake was diagnosed with Retinal Atrophy Syndrome, 2 weeks after adopting him, at 8 years old. He was a wonderful loving pup, and used his other senses magnificently and without reservation, when he lost all sight. Lost him 5 1/2 years later to cancer … He was an amazing pup 🐾♥️🐾

I had a lab/pit who went suddenly blind at just 5 years old. There's a medical name for it. He told me just to keep the furniture the same so he would remember how to move around. She passed away at 11 1/2 years old. Best dog i ever had!

It takes a special person/couple to raise a special Pooh bear. She's gorgeous to top it off!

Get her a sighted friend. She will follow the friend around by scent. I had a horse go blind. I put a bell on her sisters halter and she learned to follow the bell. She did great and she was older before losing her sight. And the grind you get her will babysit and give cuddles while you’re gone to work.

Thank you for not returning her to the breeder. You’re a wonderful person for that. I just wish you would’ve adopted in the first place but that’s OK. At least she is safe and she has the perfect name Winnie my little Winifred Eden Roisin Wilson is also known as Winnie the Woo because her bark sounds like woo, woo woo

Such a cute little ball of fluff! She’ll adapt well I’m sure cuz she’s so young and doesn’t know anything else. Our boy did and gave us so much love for 17 years

Most white dogs or cats have been known to blind or deaf. I had a white cat that was both. I love her she lived in the house, lived 13 years.

Please get her a companion. The other sighted pup will help guide her and stay close to her to keep her calm and comfortable. Also, a good large crate for nighttime and when you leave the house without her/them. It's for her safety. My first Westie, Blizzard, lost his sight, then his hearing. His sight went at 5 years old, and his hearing not long after that. He had his Westie family to watch over him, and of course, me. His first companion, Flurrie, was a constant since they were both puppies. Flurrie had 2 puppies, Diamond and Bear, with my rescued Westie Male, Barbaro. The little pups became close guardians along with their momma. They never let him out of their sight, Flurrie and Diamond were very loving towards him. they would run between Blizzard and walls, even outside. Blizzard passed away at almost 15 years old from cancer. He had a full Happy Life With His Family. Please try to adopt a sweet companion for your special Poo Bear Girl!!🥰💕

I had a Jack Russell that went blind and I didn't even know because he was so familiar with the house and property that he ran around like he had his full eyesight. Dogs are amazing. If we humans could adapt like they do it would be incredible. They just accept life as it is even if they have disabilities.
