That spotter should have been standing in the middle of the road with a stop/slow sign that he could wave at drivers, that was very poor safety precautions for the worker up in the air.

even a tall van would have hit him, that lane should have been blocked off with cones, NEVER should anyone or any thing be allowed under any bucket, basket, or hoisted objects, walking or driving ... workers are totally at fault here... who in their right mind would even agree to work with any vehicles travelling underneath them not knowing the height of anything passing underneath...
