That spotter should have been standing in the middle of the road with a stop/slow sign that he could wave at drivers, that was very poor safety precautions for the worker up in the air.

lane should have been closed...not trucker's fault

even a tall van would have hit him, that lane should have been blocked off with cones, NEVER should anyone or any thing be allowed under any bucket, basket, or hoisted objects, walking or driving ... workers are totally at fault here... who in their right mind would even agree to work with any vehicles travelling underneath them not knowing the height of anything passing underneath...

The driver should have seen the guy hanging from the ligh and the worker should have placed something to warn drivers that repair work was being done!! Both sides were negligent!! (And some men think that men are smarter than women!!)

so you mean to tell me this semi truck driver didn't see the man in the bucket and just kept driving or did he see him and just kept driving anyway now this man is either hurt really bad in critical condition or deceased I pray that this man in the bucket is ok and that he has a full recovery and that he gets justice for what happened to him

It looks like the repair man on the ground is holding up his arms telling the repair man in the bucket "it's ok, I'll catch you" right before he runs off to the back of the repair truck.

Small company truck at fault. There was no caution. No lane closure no guidance to skip that lane. I pray he’s OK.

I hope the truck driver gets fired for not paying attention and it looks as if he ran a red light. I don't understand why there weren't more markers or why that lane was not closed off for the guys working the traffic lights ..

WTF is wrong with the light workers. They were supposed to block that lane so No Vehicles take that lane. They lacked Safety. Bunch of Morons.

His Co worker never protected him or the scene, you see a tractor trailer coming you make eye contact with the driver and help him turn. Sorry but the light repair has to be secured before putting me in a bucket..

Stop making excuses for the Semi driver. It was right in front of him, and their are enough cones on the ground beside the truck for anyone to see.Anyone could see that boom extended out.He just misjudged his turn.

I think it is the truck drivers fault because he had to have looked at the light when he ran it on yellow. How do you look at the light and not see the guy in the bucket up there ?

🥺 why wasn’t that lane closed off why wasn’t there somebody watching to make sure that truck couldn’t make that turn if he’s gonna be below the height of the lights that they needed to close that lane I don’t think this is the truck driver’s fault at least not entirely
