What a day fun fun fun
I used to love playing in the rain. Not long ago I thought about going in my back yard and playing/dancing. I believe only one neighbor would be able to see me and they all ready know the old lady next door is nuts. Yeah at 72 im going to go play in the rain. I wouldnt even care what people thought if I went into my front yard and did that. But I imagine the cops would put me away. 😆

My mom was a single mother of 6, so our house was the one on the block, that, although clean.. bicycles toys whatever .. we were always being told to put away. Anyway .. the drain for the rain from our roof was broken, so It came down like a waterfall ... mom used to give us a bottle of shampoo and we would go nuts!!! Laughing and screaming and having a blast!!! (while she got to put her feet up before going to her 2nd job). 🙏💕🌸
I bought my house in '89. I was 37, my son was 12. Right after we moved in, we had a very hard rain storm(no lightning). My son and I floated his plastic boats down the edge of the street as it was a "raging river". We has so much fun and he still remembers that, and he's 45 now. 🥰🥰🥰

now that kids are suppose to do i took 2 of my 7 grandkids out i was baby sitting. turn them loose out in rain puddles taught to make mud pies set them to dry. those kids had a blast of course they were covered in red clay mud there cloths wasn't so good any more they got good bath. point is they got see what it was like see what there mom use to do I did. kids need to be kids out side playing not in TV or games
So sweet!! My boys, all in their 30’s now, still remember when I used to “make” them come outside and play in the rain and puddles with me. Lived on a cul-de-sac and got a huge stream coming around for sailing toys. The neighbors were older and would just watch out the windows and laugh. Enjoy this time Dad cause it flies by way too fast🥰🥰
at 74 years old I still love to splash in the puddles now I can do it with my great-grandchildren
Absolutely LOVE this 💯! What a fun dad teaching his babygirl to jump in puddles!! I used to do that as a kid, as an adult & still DO! I was already an adult & moved back home temporarily to be with my parents. I remember coming home from overseas during pouring rain on a warm summer afternoon. I pulled up the driveway to see my daddy sitting in the garage watching the storm & lightning. He waved excitedly. I just left my luggage & belongings in the car & ran out to greet him taking off my heels & hugging him. I started dancing in the rain & jumping in puddles & pulled him up to jump with me feeling so grateful to have my dad still alive. He was laughing got up to join me jumping in puddles. My uniform was soaked but I didn’t care! He got a chair for me & we both sat down to at the edge of the garage opening to watch the storm & lightening show. He said to me laughing, “Oh my little Bunny you make me laugh!” Those moments are PRICELESS. 🙏🏼✝️🕊️My best friend in heaven. ❤️
I remember my Mom telling me not to go into the mud puddle at the end of our driveway because I had my brand new white dress shoes on. Of course like a moth to a flame...😆

That’s was the best part about the rain. I remember when it would rain my brother & I would put our swimming suits on and go out and play in the water running down the street gutters. Great memories
Yes we do! I can remember sitting on my front porch and watching it pouring down rain across the street but no rain on my side! My folks came out to see what was do funny and called my brother out too! My parents had not experienced that before. I am 76 now and one day I week I walked down to get my mail. It started raining but not on my side of the street! I just put my hands up and laughed and the city bus stopped and the driver was yelling can you believe this? Pouring across the street but not a drop on me! He honks st me every time he sees me out!
I remember being 3 and the neighborhood kids, especially one girl, holding my hand and playing with me in the woods at the end of our street. She held my hand as I walked on a log! Also trick or treating in the neighborhood. We moved shortly after that. I met her as adults and thanked her. She couldn't believe I remembered her.
I wish my dad had acknowledged the fact that I was alive and had done stugg like this.
