I think that is so sweet. My father in law put my oldest sons footprints, date and name in one section of a pathway he was poring. 46 years later my son died from cancer. They no longer owned that house. So, I went there and explained who 's footprints they were. The lady told me she always wondered who's they were. I offered to buy that section and have it repaired with no footprints. She graciously gave it to me and I had it repoured for them. Now I have those footprints at my home where my boys grew up. I look at it every day and tell my Geoff how much I love and miss him. To me, it's a treasure. ๐Ÿ’•

My brother and I stepped into concrete to leave our footprints around the base of the new flagpole in the mid-60s. Now, 50 some years later, the flag still flies, but it's hard to see the concrete because the lawn grew tighter around the base. Somewhere, mom still has a picture of my brother and I standing side by side next to the flag pole!

My nephew passed away two years ago from a drunk driver, he was on his new motorcycle he had just purchased for I believe two months. This was my sisters only son and he was only 23 just a baby. His favorite place to be when he wasnโ€™t working was the garage where he had cars and engines, tires, you name it, if it was a truck part it lived in that garage, my sister kept it that way for 2 years and then started to remove all those car and truck parts, I never knew how she had the strength to do it, but she did. Fast forward to this summer, she had her entire driveway poured , little did I know she had a plan all along to keep his memory alive, my sister asked one of the workers if he could put on this pair of boots and she told him exactly where to walk and where he should end, the worker looked confused but did it, after he completed her wish my sister told him, those were my sons boots and where I asked you to walk was the way he would always go to enter the garage, what an honorโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ

The chemicals in that concrete are so very dangerous to the skin. Poor baby will suffer.

the answer is yes, I do. currently I'm the title holder of my family home of 4 generations built by my grandfather on my dad's side in 1949 major renovation 1979 next major renovation 1983 then the next major in 1986 and that last one in 2013-2014. it now is 3600sqft on an acre with a privacy wall reaching over 8ft in height a pool and a bar / BBQ kitchen both with waterfalls and rain forests a massive 4 car garage and a wrap around concrete driveway and sidewalks throughout. ever male in line has taken part in building it, including my son. while I was remodeling one of the bedrooms, I found a note from my dad to me. He put it in the wall in 1981. I found it in 2019 it was/is incredibly special and personal to me..

cement can cause chemical burns when it comes into contact with skin or eyes.ย This is because cement contains alkaline chemicals that can irritate and damage tissues.ย

well I can't stand the awful people calling this child abuse. I bet they coated his feet in Vaseline so the concrete wouldn't stick so y'all can quit clutching your pearls now. Why is it that everyone minds all business that doesn't pay them? I thought it was a beautiful idea but then the hate filled comments..this is why I don't people any more than necessary

My Dad did my Footprint when I was 1 in our Home in the Finished Basement. When he passed and the house was Sold I took one last time to view it and still can hear his voice when he showed me. He said u cried when I made your Footprint and I had to reassure u that Daddy was not being mean. Miss him everyday.

People donโ€™t realize how toxic wet concrete is to human skin. It can make all of the skin peel off of any place it comes I. Contact with. The longer itโ€™s in the skin the more damage it can do. L

Hope they cleaned his feet after. Fresh concrete has acid in it that will burn your skin.

I don't know why people are negative OMG 20 seconds in the cement isn't going to kill him. I would have done the same thing if I had thought of it. I'm sure there will be a lot worse in this childs lifetime

I love this ,as a child my dad poured the driveway ,he picked me up & did this ,them my sister ,5 yrs later her poured the bottom of the driveway ,he put my youngest sister feet & baby brother. so I live here as an adult,And all 4 kids are imortilized in the driveway ,I will NEVER CHANGE THAT.Iwish my parents would have stood side by side at the bottom of the driveway & stepped on the wet concrete so all 6 of us would be here forever .๐Ÿ‘ฃ๐Ÿ‘ฃ๐Ÿ‘ฃ๐Ÿ‘ฃ๐Ÿ‘ฃ๐Ÿ‘ฃ

Precious!! My mom was an artist and when family and or friends would come over, sheโ€™d dampen the bottom of their feet then trace it and afterwards, sheโ€™d paint them in!! Our back patio was covered in the โ€œFootprints of Loveโ€โค๏ธโค๏ธ

That's precious, my husband was pouring our driveway, my grandparents lived next door to me, he was 85 yrs old, had a cane, and thick glasses, well he came to see what my husband was doing, and he walked the whole driveway, I did not allow for those shoe prints to get covered, when he passed, I would sit there and cry touching them, and I told him, "now you walk with Jesus, footprints in heaven"๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ™

I have never heard so much BS about cement. I mixed small amounts of cement to make the cottage walk way in my backyard yard. I used my hands the whole time!!! And nothing burned, stained or anything at all!!! The only thing we have is the name of all the negative, enviest, and very unhappy people's names. I keep a list of them๐Ÿ˜ I, for one, think those darling sweet little footprints will bring a world of happiness throughout the years to come๐Ÿ’• Too have a moment in time like this cemented forever is a dream๐Ÿงธ

I have footprints of 2 of my oldest grandsons when we were pouring concrete in our driveway. I wrote their name and date. The other brothers that were born after always put their feet inside the deep prints. 5 boys. They are now 28,26,22,21,16. Then a surprise girl was born. ๐Ÿ’• We moved after 23 years there. Footprints still there.

When I was a very little(around 8 r 9 mouths) my Dad put a new foundation under our house. Plus some other things to the house. Which means we didn't live in the house for several months. When my Dad poured the cement for the front steps. My Sister (she is 9 years older than me) put her right thumb print on one side & my foot print on the other. We lived there until I was 17. The house is still standing.๐Ÿ’•
