at the Walmart I go to they don't even ask me that no more because I always tell them,.... while I'm leaving the store with my purchase!!....I'M NOT SHOWING YOU MY RECEIPTS,..... if that bother goes off that mean I took something without paying for it. knowing that I didn't take anything... without paying for it , and if that buzzer go off and they put me on house arrest ,..until they check me out I'm suing you I don't play that!!

you don't not have to comply with a worker asking to see your receipt. Just walk by. If anti theft people snag you up,same thing. The police have to be the ones doing the detaining, or it is false imprisonment. I think🤔. Never tried,so don't really know.

by walking into a private business, you consent to shopkeepers' privilege. meaning if they have reasonable belief that you are shoplifting, they can legally prevent you from leaving or detain you until police arrive. rules very from state to state and even from city to city. in some states and cities, they don't stop people due to it being too dangerous tho. also bc the workers aren't actually required to stop you. a lot of the time, they just try to get your face or license on camera and report you to police without stopping bc it's safer for the workers. ofc there will be people like these guys sometimes tho

WlalMart is using you to check out your groceries instead of paying someone to check you out. They don't care about you getting out quick. Why should you be forced to show your receipt WHEN THE WALMART CASHIER CHECKED OUT YOUR GROCERIES? They can pay people to check every item in your basket on the recript but not pay them to check out your groceries.
