A competent trucker knows his heights. All bridges are required to post the height.

We have an underpass just like this and it never fails atleast once every other month some fool that doesn't know what he's doing will try this and not make it! It's also part of a major highway by a high school right on the edge of town so it causes so much traffic . Not only do they have to get the truck out and clean up but they also have to come out and do a bunch of inspection's because it's a train crossing above. Hours and hours of traffic! It's nice to see a truck driver that knows what he's doing

well I would imagine he's an intelligent driver and has a measuring stick somewhere on that rig. you always measure height on anything that pops up over the cab of your truck before you roll down the road and then just as a little insurance you dump a little air out of that suspension and pray 😇😆

Anyone who has a CDL that’s worth their weight, would know the exact height of their load both with air bags raised and lowered. That’s why the height on overpasses of any kind are required to post the height.

We are DONE as a country as evidenced by the stupidity of the post and comments! It was a goner when it began with "bruo" = the epitome of stupidity and ignorance. Why didnt these idiots consider tgere MUST be a reason why that truck cleared before they asked their questions? My God they are dumb. Driver knew clearance height and the height of his rig! FREE = If u r less than 38 and game social media alot = STOP! They have rotted your mind and robbed you of your humanity & common sense. Volunteer for fastest recovery

Maybe someone was sent ahead beforehand to plan the route and checked all bridges so the driver knows height clearances, just a guess anyways but then again I'm not a truck driver soo..

It’s called using some type of measuring device to measure the highest point on your load. THEN, you read the height signs that are posted for ALL underpasses!!!!

avator

its called getting a permit and a pilot vehicle. the permits allow you to know clearance levels and specified routes to take. .. I have komatsus d375 d475 ( earth movers / deep rippers ) moved all the time. the permits they get have a specific route to take, they cannot deviate from.... hence how they know it will clear.

Driver has a tape measure knows the height of his vehicle with load. The height of bridges is usually on the face of the bridge for everyone to see.
