Baby’s have no sense of fear. Some parents have no Sense - period!
I have a good friend who never learned how to swim & she had her daughter she said her daughter would not take to water like that. Well…at 8 months old she took her for swimming lessons & she refused to get out of that water. When at home the only way to calm her was to put her on the bath tub. She’s 14 yrs now & is on the school swim team.
my babies learned to swim before they were year. they could swim before they could walk. if people would teach them that there wouldn't be someone pool deaths from drowning

I’m ALL for baby’s around water learning early how to swim etc , but the misstep and falling down them stair with no one around was anxiety but seeing and feeling like any minute she was gonna a fly up over sides of slide was almost more than I could watch
Infants should learn how to swim. Putting a child that young on that slide is insane. Thank God it didn’t end differently.

Where are their life vests? Children MUST be taught that they CANNOT go near water without a life vest on. It's impossible to watch your children 100%of the time. They need to know the rules.

This is so cool my kids started swim lessons at 6 months old. They have no fear of any water at all which made them great wakeboarders cause they started so young. I know people that kids are 15, 13 and they don’t know how to swim now that’s more harmful if you ask me!!!

I was there when a little girl of that age went off course at that speed, flying through the air and breaking her neck. Now her parents wonder why they allowed it. It's too late to regret.

Being a father of past children I had I wouldn’t let my child go up alone. I’ll tell you right now. That was that child could’ve fallen down those stairs.

She has her head up, but what if she went down the slide with her face down, and her face was in the water all the way down? I wouldn't take the risk.

If she could swim great mine did too. The scary part is if the water & or speed going down slid her up over the top. It didn’t happen good thing but I wouldn’t chance it. Just let them swim there’s time to do water slides!

This is not about swimming- this child due to the light weight could have easily flown over the side of the slide and more than likely would have killed the child from the trauma ! Parents today have no common sense!

I was born in April, and swimming before I could crawl! Water is more natural to babies than most people realize. Water births are less traumatic for the babies. And listen, there are 2 parents, well, adults at least, there at each end. Would I have let my baby do this? Probably not. But I love that the whole family seems to be involved with that lucky little water baby! 💕

I do not know but it looks like an very bad accident could happen on those stairs. A safer action that would have been nice if mom or dad guided her up the stairs but she is a brave little girl! God Bless this little sweetheart and keep her safe.🥰🙏🌸
