A "Doe"= mom, A Fawn = baby, A Buck = dad DON'T TOUCH FAWNS! You leave your scent on the baby & mom is very likely to abandon it. Doesn't matter Who you are! Adult, child, baby.... If you are human of any kind, DON'T TOUCH FAWNS or ANY WILDLIFE BABIES! When someone puts their scent (Touching) on a fawn, or any other wildlife babies you immediately give it a Death Sentence! Mom abandons baby & baby dies! ANOTHER THING MANY DON'T KNOW.... IF you find a fawn curled up & alone, LEAVE IT THERE & DON'T TOUCH IT! Mom has NOT abandoned it! She has hidden her fawn for safety reasons while she does other things. She KNOWS WHERE she left her baby & WILL be back! Many fawns are literally found by mistake, in tall grass, brush, etc They'll be curled up, appear to be frightened, & won't twitch a hair. This is part of their defense instinct. Small fawns don't have any scent. This is also a defense, natural survival thing. It's so mama can hide her babies & predators Can't smell their scent.

that video was absolutely precious! however, I feel the need to warn others who are watching this, that if there's a baby deer that young present, mom is not far away and she will stop at nothing to protect her child. 40 some years ago when I was in high school, our neighbor was killed by a mother dear protecting her fawn.

their you have it people , everyone is talking about a fawn and how cute it is and that one should not touch it because you leave your scent on it and momma will probably abandon it, and here comes someone out of left field talking crap about Trump and food shortages. can't we enjoy a moment of nature without it turning political. Jesus Christ give us a break.

In our town, many deer are out in yards looking for food. Because city has given permission for building thousands of ugly little neighborhoods where the deer habitat is destroyed. Then we need to thin the herd? It’s sick.

How sweet is that. When we first got our puppy she was only about 2 lbs, walking thru our lawn just under a humming bird feeder. A young humming bird came down and flew face to face with our dog. 6 inches between them stayed flying in place. I couldnt believe it. It was a moment i wish i had my phone camera. 20 seconds passed no one moved. Like hi were both new here. lifes moments you never forget. It humbles you and softens the workds hardness.

I have never left comments online, but I am compelled to ask why so many people refuse to share the joy of innocence and our connectivity with all living things for a moment and instead destroy this opportunity for sincere collective positivity with sophomoric and tired rhetoric. Perspective is everything.

This picture while sweet,is also sad. I shows that the deer are showing up in places they would not normally be. This is because their normal habitat is being destroyed by humans who continue to build everywhere destroying the wooded areas deer normally live. I personally do not hunt, but believe if you are hunting deer with the intention of using the deer for food, that is fine.A friends father went even further,he used the meat to feed his family, the hide to make slippers for his children, and the antlers to make knives. NONE of the deer was wasted. Hunting for this reason is fine. Hunting just to get a head to hang on your wall is DISGUSTING!

Deer are way over populated. Hunting keeps them from starving and getting hit by cars. This toddler touching the deer might get the deer abandoned by its mother and be a death sentence for the fawn.

This is so damn cute! You have 2 babies that are playing with each other and having fun. Now, if THE WORLD, NOT AMERICA, WOULD FOLLOW THIS LESSON THEY ARE SHOWING, WE'D HAVE WORLD PEACE. FOR AMERICANS, LET'S JUST BE NICE TO EACH OTHER AND ENJOY LIFE BECAUSE IT IS SO SHORT! GOD BLESS US ALL, BECAUSE I KNOW YOU'RE COMING SOON. AMEN. ✝️🙏✨🕊️❤️🥰

Whoever is filming, this should know better than to allow that child to touch the Fawn. By doing so a very good possibility that the mother will abandon it in the phone will die. Offer a quick video post of a few seconds with your kid touching that sweet Fawn. Even by the grace of God should that mother not abandoned that baby fawn might possibly not have fear of humans in the future, which is a death sentence either way. So for your few seconds of glory to video this to post, was it worth the chance of taking the life of that poor innocent Fawn?

thank you for your information. A lot of people dont know that your not supposed to leave your scent on wild life. I learned when I was a child that if I picked up baby birds in a nest the mother would not come back (thank goodness I was made aware and grabbed before getting to the nest). 🥰 we love them but we can not touch them im concerned what happen with this fawn later and where its mom was.

It is only a myth that touching a baby animal / wildlife that the mother will abandon it. However., Disturbance vs. Scent: The real danger to baby wildlife is not human scent, but the disturbance and stress caused by human presence and handling, which can lead to abandonment in some cases. Just be smart use your head and be safe . 👍🏼

That’s one thing you never ever do is touch a FAWNS the mother will abandon her young. Hopefully it will survive bye it’s self now. It’s a cute video but that cute thing comes with a big cost. I see fawns, mom’s & buckets a lot of times. I don’t go near them nor will I feed them to upset the balance of nature. They come out of there comfortable surroundings because they are being hunted this time of year. They know that hunters cannot kill them in other private property especially if they’re home’s nexted to them. They have very good hearing they can hear you cocking your gun over a 100 yards or better they have very sensitive ears.
