The pilot was right when he told the tower to shut up and let him concentrate. If this incident was real, the senseless argument could have been put off until they landed. It was obviously distracting to the pilot. It could have caused a miscalculation or an accident. I wonder if the pilot filed a complaint.

I was the son of a Pilot and on slow nights coming in, things like this did happen. Then again, that was the 80's. Good times, great memories.

I am also a retired ATCS.. this is totally phony. All communications are required to be standard phraseology. It is true that there was ‘a looser dialogue’ in the 1980s, this type communication would not have occurred.

This is so fake. If you're doing this for laughs, it is amusing. However, there are many gullible fools who would believe things like this happen a lot more that it actually does. In reality both pilots would be written up and either fired or suspended with fines for their behavior.
