this worker is obviously poorly trained. he is staying in place using Hooks. Electrical linemen are trained on the first day to keep hooks at 45°. less and your hooks are prone to chipping the pole and coming out. a fall that close in also is prone to large splinters entering your body. splinters sometimes a foot or longer happen if you slide down the tree.

Why not just cut it at the bottom? It just drops onto the ground where nothing is anyway. And the poor bastard in the Skidder wouldn’t have to drag his cable ½ way down the mountain and hike his add back up. Probably not a real life video. Only one giant tree? Most giant trees are not hardwoods. I call fake.
