So I am both. And yes, it’s a bitch, but what you learn is how to rewash everything and hang it on your backpack to dry as you’re walking. Best thing I ever did was buy a pair of fake crocs which way nothing and they are the best thing I ever purchased for backpacking . Five dollars later. I’m extremely serious about that. I also turned out to be the best thing I ever owned for snow skiing.
