After seeing the tape I hope you had the good sense to fire him. If he has that kind of hostility towards you training him to do his job, what is he going to treat your customers like?
How do we know the "trainer" was polite in his instruction of the new hire without hearing the conversation. . . 🤔
For all the morons on here "he tried to tell him to do exactly what he just did" NO. No he did not. The way red shirt did it was causing the patty to fold and break apart due to the angle and how far he was scraping each time... He was showing him to do it in smaller pushes with the spatula angled more so it doesn't cause the patty to bunch and fold or break apart. Anyone who's ever worked a grill like this would recognize this immediately. So no, red shirt was not justified and deserved to be at minimum written up, though I personally would have fired him as he demonstrated not only a lack of respect for his manager but also a refusal to accept constructive criticism. Neither of which are typically traits that fast food jobs have the time, patience, or responsibility to correct.
I don't care what he said to him, grow some adulting and don't act like your 8 😡
what's with all the dumb comments using + as a space between words on this damn app??
🙄
You can't teach people who actually believe they already know everything.
Well, that's a disrespectful jerk for you. The man's trying to show him how to do it right? And easier and no, he wants to flip him off. He'd be fired so quick. He wouldn't even have time to take off his apron
u mean Ex-employee !!!
wow!
guaranteed all the people who are saying fire him vote the same way
he does that to his dad when told to get work or move out of the basement.
So now an ex employee I would hope. 👍🏼
He can't flip a burger, but he can flip that bird! 🤣🤣
Fired
Looks like Bro has been eating those burgers more efficiently than he's flipping them! D'OH!
Childish and now Jobless. Common sense is not very common. 🤔
Well I guest he was already trained to flip his fingers
I'd bring him in my office with another manager, show him the tape and ask him what do you thing we should do? He'd be fired. I just wanted him to see it. Insubordination.
smfh . you can't hire anyone with any respect in life anymore pure Disgusting
cant imagine why hes flipping burgers for a living, seems like such a well adjusted, mature individual
you cant buy class
if you watch any sport the coaches are never on the field. hate when collars come on the job site. they dknt even be knowing anything. just get off the cook line. trying to teach a grown man how.tonflip a burger is just disrespectful
He's done.
geez. he was providing on the job training, and you flip him off? I hope he showed you the door.
what's funny is I've had the same situation with a manager/employee interaction. Correcting and showing the proper way to do things within a company is of course going to trigger defensive emotions. We are not saying that the employee is wrong or they don't know what they are doing. We are doing our best to translate that there was a gap in their training that they fell through. This is not a personal failing or something that they are. But nonetheless sometimes that translation doesn't come through properly or recieved in the way it was intended.
Its his place, do it his way! No hostility geez! Open your own place then give your instructions. 💯
I take any advice from anyone. Some are good, some bad, some are on paper to be thrown away.
You MISS THE POINT. He put his hands on the trainee and snatched he spatula out of his hand, pushing him to the side, before demonstrating. It's a job flipping burgers 🍔 . What do you expect after that? " OH, thank you, SUH" ?
One sure sign of an effective manager is the ability to turn a marginal employee into a productive employee.
fire the fat fool. He's probably eating behind bosses back. I went to Subway and ordered. 2 huge females were working and everything I ordered they were out. That shop went out of business.. True story..
Come on WE HAVE AII DONE THIS! Or at least thought about it. 😆🌸
this tells me there is friction going on here between the employee and the employeer
Dude was corrected on how to flip a burger……can you imagine if it was correction on something that actually mattered?
I’d fire him via voicemail at his home. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes 🤟😎
and this is why younger folks don't have jobs..🤔
You mean Ex-employee ......
you should fire the other employee that did rat him out. nobody likes or needs a tattle tail on the team.
genx here. stop whining and do your job and be grateful you have one. you just dont do that to your boss.
former employee
That's why he's the employee and the other dudes leadership I would have a man-to-man conversation with him talk to him Tell him what's up based on his reaction then I'd fire him or not if he gives me a whole heart that I'm sorry I was being childish I'll continue working with him.. if you get some BS answer or it gets rowdy well then I let him go
a helpful hand in every kitchen then he gives you the two finger salute.leave your uniform on the way out the door.YOU'RE FIRED!!!.
The majority of Today's youth is a very ungrateful generation in All aspects and realms, probably raised in homes that were Never told No 🙂↔️ even The parents becoming more friends then actual parenting" And The parents of Faith 📖 order and discipline with responsibilities in developing their character in social life and family values!
That's typical from the POS kids nowadays.
People are saying you should have this attitude for this job. It's the lack of respect you carry for yourself that creates the attitude.
I watched it a couple of times...At first I felt like the employee seemed to just have a bad attitude and would act like this no matter how his boss may have approached him and tried to give some beneficial advice...BUT, after the third time of watching it and seeing the body language of his boss as he quickly steps in front of the employee and moves him off to the side. and grabs the spatula, shows him how he should do it, then walks away from him with a very unfriendly expression of his face...I am starting to understand exactly why his employee would want to flip him off! Being a boss that sees when an employee might be doing something incorrectly or having difficulty because they may not have been shown a better way to do something, means that you can bestow some advice and guidance, without being condescending or short-tempered towards your employees! I know a lot of employers who don't have a clue how to treat their employees with respect or motivate them in any way! 🤔
well dude he flipped the burger just fine and that was an unnecessary time to interject. so kind of demoralizing for him im sure. if he was messing up its understandable but he flipped his burger just fine
There is no need to be cocky because you’re in charge. His body language and walk off said it all.
if he's no better at it today get rid of him...but he feels he was already doing it just like you
ppl act like someone teaching them something they don't know or is doing wrong is a personal insult. it's called constructive criticism how will you ever be better at something if you don't know how to take it and learn. That is the wrong attitude and ppl like this are usually not successful
3rd pov. let it go. it's already humiliating enuf that he's Flippin burgers .if they aren't breaking apart, let it go..you walked away with an attitude like ...like you didn't care what he thought or felt...so don't care
in his mind he was already doing it just like that
It’s not the deep it’s flipping a burger 🙏🏼
Shameful reaction just because someone was trying to help!
Theme from “A Summer Place” love it.
Disrespectful.
for everyone saying the manager did the same thing, watch the placement of their hands on the spatula. the worker grips the handle low with his fingers wrapped around it. the manager places his palms at the top of the handle allowing the spatula to bounce once it hits the pressure of pushing it under the burger. this saves your fingers from cramping by the end of the night, and prevents a worker's comp case for carpal tunnel surgery.
You're fired.
😂😂😂
I would have laughed 😅 and called him into my office and showed him the video.
Wow! 😆
if the boss and the employee were born into a higher cast they wouldn't have to do real work
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
