It's too hot to go outside to use your BBQ to cook the beans, but you have no problem turning on the oven and heating up your kitchen, etc? The bacon does not need to be cooked...I always put raw bacon in my beans and have never had a problem with it not fully cooking plus you need that bacon grease in your beans for flavorful beans. I've been cooking for a very long time. I'd use some sort of spicy sausage, not hot dogs - ugh 😩
