just turn that valve a little bit to turn the water off .the leak is on the splitter after the faucet. just turn off water remove splitter and hook-up direct.you can get yourself another splitter next time you're at the store. take all of about 3 minutes and a child would be able to see the solution and complete the task !either the renters stupid or the video is made to look like something it's not
