My grandfather passed in 1967! I remember that everytime he left me he'd always ask what I wanted him to bring me when he came back! usually I just wanted banana Popsicles. Once I told him a cash register, for some reason I was fascinated by them at the grocery store. He looked funny but he bought me one with dollar bills he put in! Being a child in the 60s was fabulous, filled with bicycles, easy bake ovens, cash registers blue skies & fresh air! I cry for our children that will never know the joy of playing OUTSIDE sun up to sun down chasing ice cream trucks when we heard the music! May not sound like much to the electronic generation but it was GREAT!

My grandpa died in 1991 and was born in 1905, I miss him very much. He used to take me everywhere and when we went to get farm parts we would stop and get an ice cream cone and he'd say told tell your grandma. Miss my grandparents on my mom's side too, they died in 1971 and 1992.
