Usually you would throw a rock in first to figure out your trajectory to make sure you don’t hit any rock at the bottom but generally you should do it with a buddy or professional at an actual cliff jumping spot if you plan on being able to walk after

he forgot an important rule, you are supposed to throw a rock to find a safe trajectory to land safely in the water, they also use this to see if it is deep enough to dive. I doubt this guy is trained.
