I'm kind of thinking 🤔 that what you're seeing is possibly a Mental Health crisis and he's trying to wait her out,maybe til she's tired. It's called Self Injurious Behavior. They arrested me out of my bed. Could possibly be a learned behavior, what if she was raised as a child and saw her mother slapping her self routinely for attention or whatever reason even for pleasure as she was growing so now it has become imprinted in her normal behavior for example a child who smokes because he or she has seen the parents smokes .
I seen this kind of behavior before..I had a girlfriend back in the day that would slap herself like this when she would blame herself for causing an argument and when I try to leave she would start hitting herself and crying ...but she never called the police and said I did it ..she had a habit of punishing her own self when things didn't go her way
