Even the readers of this post will recognize but not accept the sound logic and be quick to support those individuals that have chosen to make their living wearing a badge gun and a respected uniform of authority. They lie to their wives girlfriends kids and supervisors just like the welder tire changer mechanic and car salesman The penalty is just stiffer if they get caught and prosecuted

It is an old way of doing police work and an accepted code of conduct throughput the ranks in the past. It became a little more difficult with DEI because the cops didn't all grow up together and have the same cultural belief system and code of conduct. It doesn't mean all the police are corrupt but they are more likely to accept or turn a blind eye to band conduct when they are people of the same ilk. It goes up the line to the prosecutor and the judges and now the office of the President
