I really love the fact that of 38 comments, none were negative. It was so wonderful to see people honoring skill and honest work like that. Thanks to all of you.
First of all, I hope to live to his apparent advanced age and if I do, I hope to be physically able to have his strength and stamina. Yes, he's breathing heavily, but damn, he ain't stopping. Good for you, old timer! You give me something to strive for!
That's wild. I don't really understand the smack on the top, bc there's still loose pieces that end up on it... I'm sure stuff that deep is compact. However I wonder if it helps break that piece off some how. 🤔 Very interesting. This is probably something he has been doing 60 years.
I remember the tool for digging turf ,"peat", as having a right angle blade. Also, the peat was stored above ground. The bogs were not dug this deep. My guess is this is clay for Adobe bricks.
Is he harvesting peat?
Was interesting to watch and see how 🤔 to make the bricks . To make them hard , do they sun dry or bake them ?
Wow I want to get that age and doing what he is doing wow good man
peat or clay.
That's a peat bog.And it's cut for stoves,once dried.Ire.etc.
I think he's making bricks
i think they dry them out and use them for fire place instead of wood
wtf is he doing
Hard work. Some kind of brick?
and he does all of this and stays clean. Not a spot on him. His wife is probably very proud.
is he making bricks?
I read the comments and wondered WHY NOBODY mentioned the Transparency person in front of the Brick 🧱Maker and the people in the upper left corner of this Reel. Am I the ONLY ONE WHO CAN SEE THEM??? If so, I will be making an Appointments with My Doctor ASAP😳
That old timer is in better shape than me 🤦🏻♂️& in 56 🤷🏻♂️..!?!?!
peat for heating fuel or clay for bricks?
for heating and making good liquor
Harvesting peat?
He's in better shape than a lot of lazy ass younger ppl 👍
That’s ol peat for da burnin laddy. Irish peat that is.
making bricks?
strong man!
Old time brickmaker showing long forgotten skills!! Neat!
looks like Clay for bricks
Go get it done super grandpa
is he a mud farmer?
Looks like clay
Is that clay ?
wow. he's good at making each block the same as the one before.
I love how there isn't a speck of dirt on him. Just working hard in the mud in regular attire.
Putting together mud blocks to build a structure?
reuse and repurpose seems to be a great idea!
That clay or it would not stay together.
Is that peer harvesting. Wow. Love this.
He's making bricks right?
Mud meatloaf?
wow what?
Peat
you gonna eat that without catsup?
"footing turf" it's used like logs in a fireplace after curing
and he's not dressed for that job.so I call bullshyt
oh… special tool… does not look like adobe I have seen… peat? Have seen peat in Ireland but not “harvested.” any clues
I read what some of you have written and I still don't understand what he is doing. He does look clean.
I dont think I could do that anymore, or at least for very long but it sure is satisfying to watch
I would love to have that kinda dirt in my backyard where me and the kid can undertake projects like building a small play house /cabin all out of mud ...like my kid would say "just like the olden days" yes that's wasn't a mistake I did say "Olden Days".
I think that when this stuff dries out it will burn like coal may be wrong
he's cutting peat for heating or cooking
what's he doing it for?
60 seconds I'll never get back...
what the freak was he doing
that's their firewood basically doesn't everyone size up their firewood? looks like he's been doing it a long while outstanding
I wonder if he would come by my house after the mother inlaw finishes eating everything in the house. Sure would save ware and tear on my plumbing.
he's been doing it so long. he doesn't even get dirty.
🥰
just for shits and giggles what's he using them blocks for anybody know
is cheese I think from Ireland I don't see any comments saying so but she's is sore like that now if he's taking mud that's different but I want to say is cheese
SATISFIED 😁
