not even close! real sawmills with real computers cut whole logs with stair stepped edges and only lumber and shavings coming out. Choices were made based on current market value of each dimension option. logs were dogged on the ends and sent through with the best possible angle.

worked at a box factory in sw Mississippi in the year of 1982 same thing but a lot faster rollers wold pull the board across blades set by a man and spit out the other side far one of us to catch pass to another to stack while the other would feed the rollers much faster than this and 10 - 12 hr shifts

looks like what we could set up for any size at Yakama Forest Products .also at Vaagen Brothers in colville..logs are presized,and same lenghth.easily do 400,000 board feet in 8 hr. shift.
