Home plate umpire should not have granted the batter time out.
already in wind up, can’t call timeout.
he didn't even try swinging he said yeah i cant see shit
depends on if it has any movement or not. all you gotta do is stick the bat out there when it's going that fast and the ball will go a long ways. velocity isn't what gets you to the show. Greg Maddux never threw harder than 93 mph but he had amazing movement on all 3 of his fastballs
HIT IT ??? hell I couldn’t hardly see the DAMN THING!!! I ain’t lying…
just did the math.... 100mph sinker is equivalent to 182mph fastball
When l was 15, l couldn't hit fastballs from 15 year old pitchers, so I'd say my odds of hitting this would be in the negatives.
Jeffrey St.Louis @SparGate:Interesting fact, also is amazing, the eye, hand and brain coordination, so fast that the that the batter is able to decide whether to swing or not, but my brains too slow to realize I wrote "that the "twice.....
My lifetime batting average would probably have been 0.001 or lower. Pitchers might have intentionally walked me out of pity
That’s a strike. He stepped out after he started the wind up.
I’m 73. If I was foolish enough to try, I’d choose to hit like Rod Carew, then maybe one in one hundred chance. Even when I was 26 and swung a 8 lb spike maul 10 hours a day for BNSF, I could not come close to throwing like that. The kid has it.
I remember in high school I got a chance to go to a batting cage that threw 93 MPH. Some were inside, outside, high, low.Kinda scary to be honest. I think I did about 20 pitches. I think I got bat on 3 of them, maybe 4. Only one would have been "in play."
100mph is the baseball equivalent of a 4,000 yard passing season in the NFL. No one tries to just get batters out. The strikeout shouldn't be what sets apart the best pitchers.
When I played baseball, the pitcher used to call time out a lot while pitching to me
couldn't hit it if I wasn't in the batters box. certainly couldn't hit it now
I hope 🤞🏻 he gets plunked on his next at bat? Because back a few years back that’s how the picture would have handled ?;(.
Imagine getting hit by that 😵 no thank you
That’s a sinker not a fastball. Literally says it on the board lol
Nolan Ryan #34 and fellow Alvinite was even faster than THAT!!!
every middle aged man watching this who played baseball in highschool "oh yeah id crush it" 😂😂😂
Strike
He already start his windup, so he shouldn’t have been awarded the timeout. Shady!
picture should've seen that the batter was still calling time. pitchers mistake.
Batter said hell no!
The ump and the player should have been thrown out of the game.
Smoke
i knock it out the park every time on MLB 24...lol
no way, and @ least I'm being honest about it.
that was pretty nasty. I can go 1 for four.
A couple times doing that to a pitcher??
Another reason why I don't play baseball
Yes and have, resulting in a home run
Goddam steroids are a hell of a drug
I might hit 1 out of 100 pitches
Next one would be in his ear!!
That batter is like fuck you
Kind of late to call time.
a 100 mph sinker!?!? damn
Why did he just walk away?
Yes when I was in my 20's
in MLB The Show yes I can
reminds me of Nolan Ryan
Maybe one out of a 100
Nobody’s hitting this
That's a lot of smoke
that was a strike
I could hit it
Awesome arm!
yes I can
CYA, HOME RUN!!!!!
yes
