no, that's dangerous, I know it looks and seems innocent enough. I know most people these days do not know how to drive a standard transmission. the problem with reving up the engine with the clutch depressed is that the drivers foot could slip or the clutch could fail, sending the car right into whatever is in front like a slingshot. I've had it happen to me at a red light. Shoes were wet, and the clutch slipped, throwing me out into an intersection right through a red light. thank the good lord. No one was passing at that moment, but yeah, dangerous.
