Something similar happened to me at a local Walmart around Christmas a couple years back. There were several members of a church who were standing around the self checkout and would come up to folks and pay for their purchases. When they came to me, I thanked them, but told them to save it for someone else who might need it. Also at a gas station I stopped at in Martinsville VA a few years back, a church group was there paying for people's gas up to a $20 I believe.

Wow!!! Didn’t even ask them what political party they belong to and obviously didn’t seem to mind what color their skin was or what religion they practiced wow they didn’t even ask them if they were legal citizens. But yet scorned for showing kindness.
