Because O’Hara is smart and knows what Pretti did before the confrontation of ICE. Also, he didn’t have his ID or gun permit on him, that’s on purpose. We all know you cannot carry without those on you at all times you have your gun in your possession here in Minnesota. If you don’t know what he did before confronting ICE, look for the video of him directing traffic. He had no excuse to be in the middle of the road trying to act like a cop there. No excuse. He’s not a crossing guard, he was doing that while filming ICE with his phone and people were getting confused with what he was doing. I think he had a death wish.
If everyone has had enough then get off the damn streets and stay out of the way
BUT he also drew attention to himself by getting involved while armed in a situation where "seeing a gun" might get you shot, despite rights or laws. High tension and chaos. It was wrong he was shot, it was NOT JUSTIFIED, extreme poor judgement on both sides.

In Minnesota, it is illegal to carry a handgun in public, including at protests, without a valid Permit to Carry and a government-issued photo ID. Minnesota is not a "permitless" or "constitutional carry" state, and carrying without the proper documentation is a crime.

More proof this is manufactured outrage. The facts are simple and in 2024 Attorney General Keith Ellison and 27 other AG’s supported a California lawsuit that stated personal weapons are not authorized in protests or rioting areas. The AG of Minnesota agreed he should not have had his weapon with him. Now Ellison is flip flopping and saying but he was a legally authorized citizen to carry a concealed weapon. One more small technicality, he did not have his ID or concealed carry permit with him which is required in current laws. He was not a citizen carrying a legal weapon. He was illegally carrying a concealed weapon.
Angry at ICE doing a job in a way that SCOTUS has said over and over again is well within their authority. How about minding their own business? 🤷♂️🤷♂️

This officer talks about the success of his department making arrests. Great. I wonder what their record of arrests would be like if his officers were hounded and interfered with by idiots blocking, filming, invading personal spaces, and purposely creating chaos whenever police showed up to make an arrest.
