Lets go through some things, he choose to bring a gun, he choose to be in the streets, he choose to get in the faces of agents to video, he choose to resist when his action became interfering. When a gun was detected and the word gun was shouted during the scrum to subdue him this was no longer a scrum to immobilze him, it became a deadly interaction. And at the end this was consequences of his own actions. And Ashley Babbit didnt have a gun and what were the results of that shooting? Cant have it both ways.

the gun in the grey sweatshirt guys hand is a solid black firearm pretti's gun is not sid black it is tan, this is where the news makes an assumption. pretti's gun was in a holster on the right side of his body cbs wants you go believe the gun was tucked In his belt in the back of his pants. what cbs missed is after he was sprayed he is seen reaching to his right side with his right hand grabbing his gun, you can see him lift his coat slightly with his left hand to be able to reach his holsters gun, this is taught in most handgun education classes. by the tome the officers are on him he has his gun in his hand, and is refusing to relinquish it. remember cbs was the same news agency that refuse to show the angle in which renee good hit the ice officer, they kept showing the angle where it looked like he was on the driver's side of the car. this is their video, edited to fit their narrative.
