it is funded, the democrats closed the government otherwise they would get their money. The constitution only allows members of congress and the President to be paid, and the can't spend money not appropriated. The USDA emergency funds are for national emergencies, not work stoppage by congress.

Dems nor Republicans closed the government Trump did bc dems won't sign a bill that raise Healthcare costs for anybody who not in the 1% bracket which are the rich and the bill also wanted to shutdown SNAP benefits permanently. Tbh majority of the people that's on SNAP are White Republicans.

What's sad is the kids don't understand what's going on and why they don't have food or why their hungry and the parents aren't feeding them. It's not their fault they were brought into this world. Disabled and elderly that can't work have to go hungry. When on disability their on a strict budget and don't or barely make it as it is and now the money they pay their bills with will have to go towards food. Now they can lose their homes, their cars, etc. This is gonna cause more crime now as people will have to do what they can to survive
