Hopefully, these farmers are getting the reckoning that most of them probably deserve, considering that most of them probably voted for Trump. If this doesn't sway their vote, nothing will. That being said, I know that the agriculture business here, in Iowa, is mostly about manure and fertilization, a billion dollar industry with China, that's been sabotaged by the tariffs against China.

So let's be clear about people wanting us to stay on topic. You can't connect the dots. Trump creates a trade war so China now buys its soy beans from Argentina. Trump gave Argentina a ridiculous amount of money after they just got a giant economy boost from the Soy beans. Trump is now importing beef, with a tariff on it I would assume from Argentina. Now is any of this America first? Seems like he has something going on with Argentina.

current price of chuck roast at my local Kroger is $11.99/lb. this cut used to be around $4/lb. not sure who is making the money, but this absolutely insane. Eggs are down, but all meats are way, way up. I ama Trump supporter, but he's blowing smoke on grocery prices being down. Like so many politicians who never set foot in a grocery store, he also has no idea where prices are, and is only repeating what he is being told.

I went shopping the other day and payed $34 fir 3 lbs of lean beef. I welcome Argentina beef it will create competition which will lower the prices for Americans. the American beef ranchers are getting greedy. sure I care if they make money but they don't have to price meat so high that the average American has to decide weather to eat or not.

Import as much as you want, the market will still be short until the US herd recovers in a couple of years. If there is more drought in certain regions, we may be happy to have the imports in place. Argentina grows quality beef, but American beef is better 🇺🇸💪🇺🇸!!
