Those ranchers wear blinders. The cost of beef has gone through the roof. Hamburger is $10 a pound. A chuck roast is now so ridiculous, I don't even think about buying it. Same with steaks or any other beef product I buy more chicken and seafood, and both are cheaper than beef. I understand their wanting to make a profit, but I have to think about what I can afford to feed my family.We were getting a lot of our produce from Mexico, especially during the winter when we can't grow it. Why not beef if it is cheaper

It’s America First until it isn’t? It’s whatever Trump feels like saying it. Beef prices are way high. We used to buy steaks and stew meat about once a month or so. Not after these prices. Hamburger is about it.
Why purchase beef from Argentina? Next the American people will be told to eat snake. The government should not dictate what the American people should eat. The U. S. has high meat standards with U.S. Agricultural Inspection.

Did I hear that farmer say that American consumers only spend $90.00 a year on low-grade ground beef? I'm not sure that adds up when you pay $18.00 for less than a 5 lb pkg. of ground beef.

On top of that, the best beef cuts are always put aside for the most expensive restaurants in the nation at lower prices, compared to the lower quality and more expensive cuts we get in supermarkets. The Argentinian cattle beef is way more superior than the American cattle and cheaper in supermarkets too.
