Without those two of three judges appointed by Trump no way would the United States Supreme Court would be this close to decimating 60 years of minority civil rights voting protection in America.

Our representatives should represent all of us. But how can white representatives truly understand the experiences of people from other racial backgrounds? They should be motivated to fight for equity and justice for everyone they serve. Being white means you have to make a conscious effort to listen, learn, and advocate for all your constituents. If you view others as inferior—whether consciously or unconsciously—you won’t truly fight for their best interests. Sadly, many politicians (especially MAGA) today seem disconnected from the needs of the people they represent, regardless of race.

Guys…this is helping to combat Jim Crow era barriers for equal representation. If you don’t want race to be considered, then getting rid of gerrymandering would be the way to go. Until the politicians stop considering race when drawing the district lines, then we can’t stop considering race either.

In the age of technology, individual votes should be counted. Why are we drawing any lines at all? You vote as an individual- you count as an individual should be the law of the land. 🤔
Zig zagging is considered limiting voting rights. You're right it should not be based on race. Southern states redraw their districts to make them more republican and some other states draw to make them more democratic and it should be drawn fairly

I learned at the age of 9 when I accepted Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. I learned to lean on Jesus all the time for my family and my well being. I understand that eople have their prejudices based on tradition. Some think they are not as smart as palefaces(no offense if it bothers you). But they kept us out of baseball, basketball, football, tennis, track and field. But when we did get our foot in the door, it’s too late. We are making strides in medicine and have contributed for many years although our accomplishments have been hidden or stolen.

The population across the entire state should not dictate the district lines across the entire state. For example, if the majority of black individuals live in the confines of a couple of cities, then you shouldn’t be setting up districts that are all centered around that city based solely on the fact that you need to achieve a third of the districts as majority black just because a third of the state population is black. You could end up with four districts all around the state, with two tiny districts just covering a couple of cities simply because of the size of their black populations. That’s absurd. Either way, that's based on the false premise that black voters are disenfranchised if they don't hold a majority of the district. Your skin color doesn't dictate your voting choices – to suggest otherwise is the very kind of racism the Civil Rights movement sought to eliminate.
The people that run for that district should live in the district.

It has Everything to do with and about Institutional Racism, Historical Voting Laws and Regulations created by states to deny, hinder, and prohibit the voting rights of Black Citizens. The GOP have created modern methods to currently do same things as then.🤔
