Snap was created during the first “Great Depression” and it benefited Whites Only! Once the Whites no longer needed it, then they allowed it to stay in place for the lower class of citizens, it was never intended to help the poor after that, but it was kept in place to ad the poor, but today you can Thank Trump Project 25 and His Administration for re-directing it to lower those in need!!!!

I know a young person in Brooklyn NY. She has a degree, her rent is 1900 a month utilties average 300 monthly she has one child 1 year old daycare is 400 a week and she makes $66,000 yearly. Now tell me why she shouldn't be able to get SNAP.

Everything you have can be taken away in a flash. I would not be so quick to judge. Everybody is going through something. Some are domestic violence survivors, or crime victims, or homeless just because they got laid off. Anything can happen and sometimes you can apply to hundreds of jobs and only get offered one not even enough to live off of.

Like April posted, it's come up a few times in history! In this state, they never stopped processing! It got really close to coming alight one of the times! A funny thing happened, well to do people organized, a free hot meal and groceries drive which grew in popularity and still exists today! They popped up everywhere, and it made up the difference for many people! Pastor Richy heads one of the biggest pantries in Worcester, MA, every Saturday!

Trump had already cut funding anyway. Its in the Doge. So now Snap benefits won't be processed because of the government shutdown.🤔..Those cuts are due to hit after Nov 4th. The word from the Medicaid office is ppl will not receive benefits in Nov. I do know there will be exceptions.
Seems like the only people the shutdown is affecting are people that stay reliant on government benefits. Hasn’t impacted anyone I know or work with. Maybe get up and do something with your lives!
